Pursuant to the Code of Virginia and “Adam’s Law” as passed in the 2022 Session of the General Assembly of Virginia, the College provides hazing prevention training to potential new members, new members, current members, and advisors of student organizations with new members.
Adam’s Law Report
Furthermore, the College maintains and publicly reports actual findings of violations of the College’s Student Conduct Code or of federal or state laws pertaining to hazing that are reported to campus authorities or local law enforcement. Findings of hazing violations after July 1, 2022 may be found on this site and the Fraternity and Sorority Life score cards, beginning December 31st, 2022, for a period of 10 years in accordance with Adam’s Law.

Reporting Hazing
Students, faculty, staff, alumni, and other individuals have a responsibility to report hazing to the College. Reports may be made via the College Incident Reporting Form which may be found on the Office of Student Conduct website.
Individuals may also notify various campus offices of concerning behavior.

Hazing Prevention Coalition
The 果冻传媒app Hazing Prevention Coalition seeks to educate, advise, and empower members of the 果冻传媒app community to prevent hazing. The Coalition provides resources and educational programming to student organizations, campus offices, and other campus stakeholders around hazing behaviors. Student organizations and campus offices interested in collaborating with the Hazing Prevention Coalition or would like more information about hazing prevention should contact TJ Horan, Chair of the Hazing Prevention Coalition.
As passed in the 2022 Session of the Virginia General Assembly, “Adam’s Law” specifies requirements for select student organizations. The text of the law can be found on the Virginia Legislative Information System (VALIS) online. Student organizations and their advisors should take care to carefully read and adhere to the text of the law. Organizations and/or advisors with questions with the law and its requirements are encouraged to contact the Student Engagement Center or Dean of Students Office as soon as possible.
