International Education Week聽(IEW) is celebrated nationwide every November, during which the Office of International Education partners with other departments, student organizations, and individuals who are interested in hosting or co-sponsoring activities and events. IEW is a joint initiative of the U.S. Department of State and the U.S. Department of Education to promote programs that prepare Americans for a global environment and attract future leaders from abroad to study, learn, and exchange experiences.
This year marks RMC’s 21st International Education Week, with events from Nov. 18-22 following the theme 鈥淔ood and Folklore.鈥�

MONDAY, NOVEMBER 18
6 p.m.-8 p.m., Dalton Family Room
Culturesgiving is a potluck event hosted by Multicultural Programming Board every year for students and staff to bring foods that are significant to their culture. It’s a time to eat some good food and to learn about how holidays are celebrated around the world and amongst different cultures!

TUESDAY, NOVEMBER 19
Rice Folktales – Tasty and Traditional
Noon-1 p.m., Haley Hall Room 112
Students can enjoy making and eating rice balls while listening to retellings of traditional rice-ball-centered folk tales.
